Bernard Ghanem

Principal Investigator
Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering

Research Interests

My main research interests focus on topics in image processing, computer vision (CV), and machine learning (ML).
  • Robust and large-scale video analytics, including object tracking, action/activity recognition, and video registration
  • Large-scale and non-smooth optimization for CV and ML problems (e.g. L0, rank, and discrete optimization)
  • Exploring novel ways of leveraging human perception for CV applications (e.g. visual saliency and memorability)
