About
Drishya Karki is a Research Engineer at the KAUST-FIFA Research Institute, working under the supervision of Dr. Silvio Giancola. His research focuses on multimodal sports understanding, with particular emphasis on group activity recognition and action spotting using video, player positional tracking, and skeletal-joint tracking data.
Before assuming his current role, Drishya worked as a Research Intern at the KAUST-FIFA Research Institute. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Pokhara University, Nepal. He also worked at ACID Integrations, Canada, initially as an AI/ML Intern and subsequently as an AI/ML Engineer.
